Electrical System Maintenance : Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all electrical systems on board the vessel, including power generation, distribution, and lighting systems. Equipment Inspections : Conduct regular inspections and tests on electrical machinery, instruments, and systems to ensure they meet safety and operational standards. Troubleshooting and Repairs : Diagnose and rectify electrical faults or malfunctions in a timely manner, coordinating with the engineering team and utilizing technical knowledge and expertise. Safety Compliance : Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and protocols related to electrical systems to minimize risks and hazards on board. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes. The incumbent should ensure closure of audit observations through coordination, follow up, review, and validate action plans within specified period. Updation and maintenance of systems documentation. Participation in customer audits. Preparation of system procedures and formats. To conduct internal audits, process audits, product audits according to planned schedule. Co-ordination with various departments within organization for data collection. Participation in various TQM activities like 5S, Quality circle, continual improvement of the system. Monitor objectives / programmes as part of continual improvement of the system. Monitor compliance against standard and customer requirements. To provide Training and create awareness to internal customers on the new audit systems and changes/modifications in the systems if any. Key Responsibilities: Assist in operating and monitoring chemical plant processes using DCS/SCADA systems . Support senior staff in achieving daily production targets. Ensure adherence to SOPs , HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) guidelines, and quality standards. Record process data, report abnormalities, and assist in troubleshooting. Conduct basic equipment checks and support raw material charging and shift handovers. Participate in safety training, plant audits, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain good housekeeping and documentation practices.
