Procurement Manager

Exide Energy Solutions Limited (EESL) is a rapidly growing company with a vision to address social issues related to energy, environment, and resources by producing lithium-ion battery products. EESL is currently in the process of establishing India's first Giga plant for manufacturing Lithium Ion Cells in Bengaluru. As part of the Manufacturing organization located in Prantij, Gujarat, Exide Energy Solutions Limited is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Assistant Manager - Control Engineer. In this role, your primary objective will be to efficiently source, purchase, and manage the supply of Sheet Metal, Fasteners, Casting, and Machining components at optimal value. This involves ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery to support the operational and strategic goals of the organization. With a total experience of 8-10 years and relevant experience of 6 years in sourcing engineering components, the ideal candidate should possess a range of mandatory skills including supplier identification & evaluation, contract negotiation & management, familiarity with components like Sheet Metal, Casting, Forging, and Machining, DFM (Design for Manufacturing) understanding, cost reduction strategies, VA/VE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering), supply chain management, risk management, market intelligence, and business compliance. Desired skills for this role include project management, time management, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, strong negotiation abilities, proficiency in MS Office and SAP/Oracle, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. As the Assistant Manager - Control Engineer, your responsibilities will include sourcing and supplier management, cost, quality & delivery monitoring, strategic initiatives & risk mitigation, as well as documentation & reporting. You will be tasked with identifying and sourcing components aligned with organizational needs, negotiating with suppliers, establishing long-term relationships, executing contracts, driving cost reduction initiatives, ensuring timely procurement, monitoring supplier performance, conducting market intelligence, developing contingency sourcing plans, and maintaining accurate documentation. Ultimately, this role will have a significant impact on the organization by enabling best-in-class component pricing, driving competitiveness in the EV battery segment through strategic sourcing, and delivering high-quality parts timely to support seamless manufacturing and customer satisfaction.,
