Job Description

As a Procurement & Vendor Management professional, your main responsibility will be to identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors for STP/ETP-related equipment, consumables, and civil/mechanical/electrical items such as pumps, blowers, diffusers, membranes, valves, pipes, and instruments. You will need to develop and maintain a vendor database focusing on cost, quality, and delivery performance. Negotiating pricing, credit terms, and supply agreements to optimize procurement cost will also be a part of your role. Ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements is crucial in this position. Your tasks will also include preparing purchase schedules based on project requirements, BOQ, and work execution plans. Issuing purchase orders, following up on delivery schedules, and ensuring timely supply to project sites are vital aspects. It will be your responsibility to maintain adequate inventory levels of critical items without overstocking and coordinate with stores and project teams for material requirement forecasts. Monitoring procurement costs against the budget and preparing cost-saving strategies will be essential. You will need to compare quotations, analyze rate differences, and finalize the best techno-commercial offers. Maintaining purchase MIS reports for management review is another key task in this role. As part of your coordination and support duties, you will work closely with Project Managers, Design Team, and Site Engineers to understand material specifications and requirements. You will liaise with logistics/transporters to ensure safe and timely delivery at project locations and resolve vendor-related issues like delays, rejections, or warranty claims. Ensuring purchase documentation as per ISO/Company standards and verifying quality certificates, test reports, and vendor compliance for STP/ETP critical components are crucial for compliance and documentation. Keeping updated with industry standards, statutory requirements, and new technologies in wastewater treatment equipment is also part of the responsibilities.
