Procurement Head

Role & responsibilities

1. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials, equipment, and services.

2. Develop and manage a team of procurement professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

3. Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and inventory levels to optimize procurement decisions.

4. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure best-in-class pricing, quality, and delivery terms.

5. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and logistics, to ensure seamless procurement operations.

7. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and resolve any supply chain disruptions.

8. Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

2. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

3. Proven track record of leading procurement teams and achieving cost savings, process improvements, and supplier development.

4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

6. Proficient in procurement software, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

7. Strong understanding of Indian procurement laws, regulations, and industry best practices.

8. Must have a proven track record of working with Integrity and speed required in a Startup.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. MBA or postgraduate degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.

2. Certification in procurement, if any.

3. Experience working in a Process Industry Domain.

4. Familiarity with lean procurement principles and sustainable procurement practices.
