Procurement Expediting Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for technical materials and equipment
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to align purchases with project needs
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors
• Monitor supplier performance for quality, delivery, and compliance
• Manage purchase orders and track project timelines
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams on procurement strategy
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in cost savings and supply chain optimization
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management and procurement practices
• Knowledge of quality control standards and compliance requirements
• Analytical thinking and cost analysis abilities
• Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration
• Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor critical path items and ensure suppliers meet milestones as per the project schedule.
• Address delays, discrepancies, or quality issues.
• Maintain accurate records of material deliveries, shipment status, and supplier performance.
• Create and maintain comprehensive Reports for all expediting activities.
• Support project management teams with logistics and schedule updates.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Travel to vendor places for follow-up and dispatch coordination

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• 2-3 years of experience in Procurement expediting
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in Tamil & English. Hindi is preferable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Experience:

• CAD Engineer: 1 year (Preferred)
