Key Responsibilities: Identify operational gaps and implement performance improvement solutions across multiple warehouse sites, including data collection, facility layout design, process optimization, staff planning, budgeting, and proposal development. Analyze issues and drive problem-solving through effective data utilization. Lead LEAN improvement projects, ensuring continuous process improvement. Develop warehouse strategies using AutoCAD/CLASS or similar tools for optimized layouts and workflows. Establish and manage standards, methodologies, and best practices by leveraging a network of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Specialize in setting up new warehouses (both Greenfield and existing facilities) with expertise in infrastructure development. Design warehouse layouts and material storage facilities, including racking systems, trolleys, and bins. Define material flow from suppliers to the production line, including routing methods and line-side supply strategies. Implement automation solutions such as AGV, RF scan guns, tracking systems, conveyors, and robotic packaging within warehouses or distribution centers. Set minimum/maximum inventory levels based on store space availability. Implement best practices like WMS, KANBAN, JIT, eKANBAN, and visual management for efficient material procurement and logistics. Manage warehouse projects using Lean Management and project management methodologies; present solutions to internal teams and leadership. Conduct workshops (VSM/Kaizen) to improve labor productivity, warehouse space utilization, and lead time optimization. Identify and deploy digitization opportunities to enhance warehouse efficiency. Continuous Improvement (CIP): Proficient in Business Process Reengineering (BPR) and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). Utilize quality tools such as DMAIC, FMEA, SIPOC, Pareto analysis, and Ishikawa diagrams for warehouse process improvement. Implement 5S, visual management, Kaizen, and 8D reports for operational excellence. Basic knowledge of warehouse safety concepts (operational safety, electrical safety, PPEs, audits). Collaborate with regional/all-India safety managers to execute safety policies, procedures, audits, and actions. Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and advanced functions like RF and barcode operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Production Engineering (preferred). 6-8 years of experience in logistics operations or logistics engineering support. Strong project management skills. Proficiency in Six Sigma, process improvement methods, and Lean Logistics. Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Project, Visio, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint). Expertise in AutoCAD. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal guidance. Proven ability to inspire teams towards achieving common goals.
