Job Description

Role Overview: As a Procurement Specialist, your main responsibility will be to handle purchase requests and manage non-critical and low-value spot buy tail spend. You will also be responsible for handling ad hoc and non-catalog purchase requests across various categories. Additionally, you will identify and evaluate potential suppliers for one-time or low-value purchases and ensure compliance with company policies and sourcing strategies. Drafting, issuing, and managing end-to-end RFP/RFQ processes will also be a crucial part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Handle purchase requests - Manage non-critical and low-value spot buy tail spend - Handle ad hoc and non-catalog purchase requests across categories - Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for one-time or low-value purchases - Ensure compliance with company policies and sourcing strategies - Draft, issue, and manage end-to-end RFP/RFQ processes - Collect, analyze, and evaluate supplier quotes based on pricing, lead times, and compliance - Coordinate with stakeholders for technical and commercial evaluation of proposals - Maintain effective communication with suppliers for quote follow-ups, clarifications, and delivery commitments - Conduct commercial negotiations to ensure the best value in terms of cost, quality, and timelines - Develop and maintain a qualified supplier base for recurring and critical requirements - Prepare comparative statements and cost analysis reports - Recommend vendors based on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis - Support strategic sourcing decisions with market data and pricing trends - Convert approved Purchase Requisitions (PR) into Purchase Orders (PO) in procurement systems (e.g., Oracle, Coupa, Navision) - Ensure timely PO release and follow up for order acknowledgments and delivery schedules - Monitor open PR/PO reports and ensure closure within defined timelines Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred - 6 years of procurement experience, preferably in a global or multi-industry environment - Strong knowledge of procurement tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Coupa, etc.) - Proven track record in cost savings, vendor development, and negotiation - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills - Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset - Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement reporting tools - Negotiation and supplier relationship management skills (Note: The job description does not contain any additional details about the company.),
