Your New Role: As the Private Sector Specialist at the International Solar Alliance (ISA), you will be at the forefront of unlocking private sector investment in solar energy projects worldwide. Reporting to the Chief of Unit, Private Sector Engagement and Resource Mobilization, your responsibilities will include leading ISA's private sector engagement activities, designing and implementing innovative public-private partnerships, and advocating for policy interventions that support private sector participation in the global solar energy sector. Broader Scope of Work: In your role as the Private Sector Specialist, you will be responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of initiatives to engage the private sector in solar energy projects, establishing strategic platforms for global investments and collaboration, identifying and recommending strategic private sector partners, conducting analyses of baseline conditions and needs for renewable energy technologies, and preparing comprehensive stakeholder analyses. You will also contribute to expanding private sector engagement in the renewable energy sector, developing outreach strategies, and supervising the development of financial instruments to leverage private sector investments. Additionally, you will lead the development of strategic projects and partnerships in the renewable energy sector, translate innovative ideas into actionable plans, craft resource mobilization action plans, and manage a database of private sector investments in ISA member countries. Your role will also involve representing ISA's interests on private sector matters at various forums, building relationships with industry leaders and donors, and contributing to impactful collaborations. What you will need: Education: - A Masters degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, electrical engineering, engineering, renewable energy, civil engineering, or a relevant discipline from an accredited university. - A bachelors degree with four additional years of relevant experience will also be considered. Experience Required: - A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in renewable energy systems with a focus on energy access, development infrastructure, power generation, and distribution. - At least 3 years of experience in facilitating private sector engagement, ideally within international development. - Experience in development finance, project management, and implementing private sector projects at the field level. - International experience and strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Language and IT Skills: - Excellent command of English is required, as it is the official language of the organization. - Knowledge of other languages such as French, Spanish, or Arabic would be advantageous. - Proficiency in Outlook, MS Office products, and ERP systems is highly desirable.,
