Principal/School Captain

Job Role Summary:

We are seeking a visionary, experienced, and compassionate Principal/School Captain to lead a major transformation initiative at a heritage school dedicated to educating underprivileged children in the Himalayan region. This leadership role will drive the strategic rejuvenation of the school’s ethos, academics, infrastructure, and inclusivity. A central component of this mission is establishing a dedicated unit for children with learning disabilities and special needs, ensuring holistic, inclusive, and future-ready education.

Key Responsibilities:1. Leadership & Vision:

• Serve as the key driving force behind the school's new charter and rejuvenation strategy.
• Lead efforts to modernize teaching methodologies, infrastructure, and learning outcomes.
• Act as a role model to students, teachers, and the local community, promoting ethics, discipline, and purpose-driven learning.

2. Inclusive Education & Special Needs Unit Setup:

• Conceptualize and establish a dedicated setup for specially-abled children, focusing on those with learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD, autism spectrum).
• Collaborate with special educators, therapists, and psychologists to design individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Train and sensitize existing staff on inclusive education practices and classroom management techniques.

3. Strategic Planning & Program Development:

• Rebuild the school's academic and co-curricular programs to align with modern educational goals while respecting cultural and regional contexts.
• Introduce skill-building, digital literacy, and values-based education to prepare students for brighter futures.
• Design and implement measurable impact metrics to track student development and school progress.

4. Community & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as a liaison between school management, local government, NGOs, donors, and the broader community.
• Foster partnerships with organizations offering resources for underprivileged and differently-abled children.
• Build a strong network of volunteers and support staff.

5. Operational Oversight:

• Supervise daily operations, ensuring smooth academic delivery, staff welfare, and student safety.
• Guide teacher recruitment, mentorship, and professional development.
• Ensure compliance with education board standards and special education regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,135.58 - ₹17,296.52 per month

Schedule:

• Morning shift

Supplemental Pay:

• Overtime pay
