Contribute to system-level testing and automation of Layer 2/3 and MPLS features on Nokia’s Flagship Fiber Access platforms. Collaborate with development and product teams to validate customer use cases, ensure control/data plane performance, and verify management interfaces and security features in a high-performance, embedded networking environment.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
- Contribute to system-level testing of Layer 2/3 protocols and MPLS features to validate end-to-end service behavior.
- Develop and execute test automation frameworks using Python and Shell to streamline regression and performance testing.
- Assist in debugging, analyzing, and resolving data/control plane issues in real-time with the development team.
- Participate in testing and verification of switching and routing functionalities over Broadcom and Marvell chipsets.
- Collaborate with PLMs to ensure thorough validation of customer-specific network use cases.
- Explore programmable interfaces like gNMI and NETCONF to enhance operational visibility and management testing.
- Test and analyze advanced security features, including DoS protection and protocol robustness through Defensics.
- Gain hands-on experience with carrier-grade embedded systems in a fast-paced, collaborative networking environment.
Key Skills And Experience
You Have:
- Graduate or Master's in engineering with 12-15 years of experience with test and analyzing high-performance switching and routing software.
- Experience in Layer 2(VLAN, ERPS, LAG etc..,) or Layer 3(ipv4/ipv6 forwarding, OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, PIM, MPLS(L2 VPN, LDP, RSVP), networking control and/or data plane software/protocols.
- Programming skills in Python and Shell scripting.
- Experience in testing and analyzing programmable management interfaces using gNMI, NETCONF, etc.
- Familiarity with Broadcom/Marvell chipsets and data plane verification.
- Exposure to customer-centric validation or production environments
It Would Be Nice If You Also Have:
- Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools (e.g., Defensics)
- Familiarity with telecom standards and network product lifecycle
