About the Role

A reputed college in Kasaragod is seeking a highly accomplished and visionary Principal to

lead academic, administrative, and strategic initiatives. The Principal will serve as the chief

academic and administrative officer, ensuring excellence in education, compliance with

regulations, and holistic student development. This role requires an experienced leader with

proven expertise in higher education management and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve the institution’s mission, vision,

and goals.

• Oversee all academic, administrative, and operational functions of the college.
• Ensure academic excellence in teaching, learning, research, and student services.
• Supervise recruitment, professional development, and performance appraisal of

faculty and staff.

• Ensure compliance with university guidelines, accreditation standards, and regulatory

requirements.

• Develop and implement academic policies, programs, and initiatives for continuous

institutional growth.

• Foster a collaborative and student-centric learning environment.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, alumni, and external

stakeholders.

• Manage financial planning, budgeting, and optimal utilization of resources.
• Represent the college in academic forums, regulatory bodies, and community

networks.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (Ph.D. preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in higher education, including at least 5 years in a

senior academic leadership role (Principal, Vice Principal, Dean, or equivalent).

• Proven track record of academic leadership, research contributions, and

administrative management.

• In-depth knowledge of higher education governance, policies, and accreditation

processes.

• Strong leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead institutional growth, drive innovation, and inspire faculty and students.
