Principal Fire Engineer

We are on a digital journey powered by innovation to transform spaces into smart, safe, healthy, and sustainable places to live. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead complex fire engineering projects from concept through to delivery, ensuring client requirements and regulatory standards are met. - Conduct fire risk assessments, fire modelling, and develop fire safety strategies for various structures and industrial facilities. - Provide expert guidance on fire protection system designs, including suppression, detection, and alarm systems integration. - Respond to RFPs/RFIs and develop compelling proposals, effort estimates, and technical presentations. - Collaborate with sales teams to drive customer conversations, technical workshops, and demos. - Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams for seamless fire safety integration. - Oversee technical reviews, quality assurance, and delivery handoffs to clients. - Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members. - Engage with clients effectively to understand their needs and provide professional consultation and solutions. - Stay current with fire codes, standards (such as NFPA), and emerging fire protection technologies. **Qualifications Required** - Bachelors or Masters degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline. - 10+ years of relevant experience in fire engineering consultancy or related fields. - Strong knowledge of international and local fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, NBC). - Proficiency in fire engineering software tools like FDS, Pathfinder, AutoCAD, Revit, SprinkCad, FireCad, or CFD software. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. - Strong client-facing communication and stakeholder management abilities. **About Burkan** Burkan Engineering is a company focused on redefining fire safety for the modern built environment.
