Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer – AI & Platform to drive the design and delivery of scalable platform components and AI-enabled solutions. This is a senior individual contributor role, ideal for someone who can work independently, influence architecture decisions, and deliver production-grade systems in a regulated, high-performance environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and technology decisions through strong technical judgment, design reviews, experimentation, and proof-of-concepts
• Design, build, and deliver complex backend, frontend, and AI-driven systems from concept to production
• Apply AI, automation, and intelligent systems across products, operations, and internal workflows to improve scalability, reliability, and decision-making
• Build and manage production-ready AI/ML and LLM-based integrations, including inference pipelines, monitoring, and cost optimization
• Ensure systems meet fintech-grade standards for security, performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new platform components with existing systems
• Solve complex technical problems end-to-end while maintaining clean and scalable system design
• Mentor and guide engineers on advanced system design and effective application of AI technologies

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8–10 years of hands-on experience in enterprise-grade software development
• Strong expertise in backend technologies such as Java (Spring Boot) and Python
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks, especially React
• Proven experience building and deploying AI/ML or LLM-based systems in production environments
• Cloud-native development experience on AWS or GCP, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Prior experience in fintech or high-growth startup environments, with exposure to payments, lending, credit, or risk platforms
• Strong understanding of security, reliability, performance, and compliance in regulated financial systems
• Ability to work independently, identify high-impact problems, and deliver robust, scalable solutions
• Strong technical judgment combined with a collaborative, low-ego working style
