Principal Auditor

Role Overview: As a Principal Auditor at Deutsche Bank in Mumbai, India, you will lead complex audits of specific business/functional areas/regions, evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to risks within those areas. You will act as a coach for auditors and people managers, developing and maintaining professional relationships within the function and with stakeholders. Your role will involve collecting relevant information to assess key risks, resolve major issues, and contribute to the delivery of team plans supporting functional and business strategies. Key Responsibilities: - Leading complex audits to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls concerning underlying risks. - Executing and leading day-to-day operational audit work, including risk assessment profiles and business monitoring. - Managing responsibilities with group audit deliverables on Concurrent Audit. - Planning and executing audit fieldwork, identifying key risks, testing key controls, and documenting work according to divisional standards. - Drafting audit reports, agreeing on findings, and facilitating finding tracking and closure. - Providing expert opinions on action plans, acting as a challenger in the findings closure process. - Partnering with other teams during audits to ensure an integrated approach. - Communicating openly with management and stakeholders, presenting complex messages comprehensively. - Keeping abreast of industry, regulatory, and business practices. - Developing and maintaining professional relationships with colleagues across Group Audit. - Taking ownership of career management and contributing to team development. Qualifications Required: - Audit/business knowledge in areas such as Investment Banking, Transaction Banking, Retail & Corporate Banking, etc. - Familiarity with global banking operational requirements and compliance issues. - Strong communication, relationship management, analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills. - Knowledge of auditing standards and concepts. - Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and in virtual, global teams. - Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, along with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.,
