ROLE OVERVIEW

Skillsoft is currently seeking an exceptional Principal AI Product Manager to lead strategic initiatives within our Platform product management team. The Principal AI Product Manager will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of AI-powered learning products and features that transform how organizations develop their workforce. This role will lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative AI/ML solutions that enhance the learning experience and drive measurable business outcomes. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define and drive product vision and strategy

• Lead end-to-end product development

• Collaborate with executive leadership, engineering, data science, and design teams

• Conduct market research and competitive analysis

• Define success metrics and KPIs

• Manage stakeholder relationships

• Champion the user experience

• Drive AI ethics and responsible AI practices

• Mentor and guide junior product managers and interns

• Stay current with AI/ML trends and technologies

• Lead customer discovery and validation activities

• Manage product launches and iterations

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Expertise in AI and machine learning concepts

• Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling AI-powered products

• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen

• Exceptional leadership and influence skills

• Expert-level proficiency with product management tools and methodologies

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills

• Data-driven decision-making approach

• Experience with enterprise learning technologies and understanding of L&D workflows

Preferred

• Experience building AI products in the EdTech or corporate learning space

• Technical background with ability to engage deeply with engineering and data science teams

• Track record of thought leadership

• Experience with AI governance, ethics frameworks, and regulatory compliance

• International product management experience
