Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Chennai for a Structural Draftsman. The key responsibilities include preparing structural drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD software, as well as reviewing and checking erection and single-part drawings using Tekla software. The role involves collaborating with engineers to ensure the accuracy of designs and compliance with project specifications, preparing detailed technical drawings, and reviewing design plans for quality and consistency. The candidate should work closely with the project team to meet deadlines and ensure the successful execution of engineering projects.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in using drafting and modeling software such as MicroStation and AutoCAD
  • Experience and skill in working with Tekla software for checking erection and single-part drawings
  • Strong knowledge of structural design principles and ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and reviewing technical drawings
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with engineers and project teams
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet project timelines
  • Prior experience in the engineering or hydrocarbon industry is a plus
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
