Job Description


  • Curriculum Development Implementation:
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and age-appropriate daily lessons and activities based on the prescribed curriculum (e.g., Montessori, Playway, Waldorf, or a blended approach).
    • Integrate various learning areas such as literacy, numeracy, science, art, music, and motor skills into daily activities.
    • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of individual children.
  • Classroom Management Environment:
    • Create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independent learning.
    • Establish and maintain consistent routines and positive behavioral management strategies.
    • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care at all times, including supervision during playtime, meals, and nap times.
    • Organize and maintain learning materials, ensuring they are accessible, clean, and in good condition.
  • Child Development Assessment:
    • Observe and assess children's progress and development across all domains (cognitive, social, emotional, physical).
    • Maintain accurate records of each child's development, including anecdotal notes, work samples, and progress reports.
    • Identify individual needs, strengths, and areas for growth, and develop strategies to support each child's learning journey.
  • Communication Parent Partnership:
    • Establish and maintain open, regular, and positive communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
    • Conduct parent-teacher meetings and share strategies for home-based learning support.
    • Address parent queries and concerns professionally and empathetically.
  • Collaboration Professional Development:
    • Collaborate effectively with co-teachers, assistants, and other school staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
    • Actively participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
    • Contribute to school events, celebrations, and extracurricular activities.
  • Health Safety:
    • Adhere to all school policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and hygiene.
    • Administer basic first aid if necessary and follow emergency protocols.
