PPC Engineer

Job Title: PPC Engineer (Production Planning & Control Engineer)

Job Summary

The PPC Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure timely production, optimal resource utilization, and on-time delivery of finished goods while maintaining quality and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain production plans based on customer orders and forecasts

Coordinate with production, purchase, stores, and quality departments

Monitor production schedules and ensure adherence to delivery timelines

Plan machine loading and manpower allocation

Track material availability and raise purchase requisitions as required

Control work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods inventory

Analyze production data and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports

Identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions

Ensure optimal utilization of machines and resources

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering

Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning methods

Skills & Competencies

Strong planning and organizational skills

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities

Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems

Effective communication and coordination skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Experience

3-5 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing

Experience in CNC, machining and assembly industries is an advantage

Work Environment

Manufacturing / industrial setting

Office-based planning with regular shop-floor coordination
