Power BI + Canvas Apps + Model-Driven Apps Experience Required

We are currently building a business-critical system inside the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem and are looking for an experienced PowerApps Developer who can support us immediately. Our project involves developing two PowerApps tightly integrated with Power BI, Dataverse, and our existing workflows. This is a freelance / contract position, ideal for someone who has deep hands-on experience in the Microsoft Power Platform and can step in quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize two PowerApps applications (Canvas & Model-Driven).

• Integrate PowerApps with:

• Power BI (embedding, row-level filtering, parameter passing)

• Dataverse tables

• Power Automate flows

• Custom APIs / Custom connectors

• Troubleshoot and resolve:

• Screen navigation issues

• Form customizations

• Component library inconsistencies

• Delegation problems

• Authentication and permissions (AAD roles, environment security)

• Implement business rules, validations, and responsive layouts.

• Improve app performance using best practices (formula optimization, pre-fetching data, reducing control count).

• Assist the internal team with deployment (Solutions, Environment Variables, ALM pipelines).

Required Technical Skills

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in PowerApps (Canvas + Model-Driven).

• Strong expertise in:

• Dataverse data modeling & relationships

• Power BI → PowerApps integration

• Power Automate (complex workflows, approvals, triggers)

• Custom connectors (OpenAPI, authentication handling)

• Proficiency in:

• Power FX formulas

• Business rules

• Security roles & environment access

• Component libraries & reusable components

• Experience deploying solutions across Dev → Test → Prod environments.

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
