Power Builder Developer

You are a talented PowerBuilder and PowerServer Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications utilizing PowerBuilder and PowerServer technologies. Your role requires strong technical skills, a solid understanding of software development principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Design, develop, and maintain software applications using PowerBuilder and PowerServer. - Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements. - Translate business requirements into technical specifications and designs. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices. - Conduct thorough unit testing and debugging to ensure software meets functional requirements. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by end-users. - Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure software quality and reliability. - Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends related to PowerBuilder and PowerServer development. - Document software designs, technical specifications, and deployment procedures. - Assist in the deployment and maintenance of applications in production environments. - Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field. - Proven experience in developing software applications using PowerBuilder and PowerServer. - Strong proficiency in SQL and database design concepts. - Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software. - Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Experience with software development tools such as JIRA, Jenkins, and Docker. - Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs and services. - Understanding of software security best practices.
