This job description outlines the role of a Database Developer or PL/SQL Developer, primarily focused on Oracle database technologies (specifically Oracle 10g/11g). The responsibilities are technical and analytical in nature, with a strong emphasis on data management, performance optimization, and end-to-end software development lifecycle involvement. Role & Responsibilities Design stable, reliable and effective database programs to ensure that data processing production systems meet user needs. PL/SQL and SQL Tuning and Optimization of newly developed and existing applications. Provide data analysis and validation. Leverage Oracle 10g/11g features to their fullest on a large-scale system. Identification of performance issues on production and testing systems. Interact with internal and external clients to understand requirements, explain issues and prioritize work. Involved in all aspects of the software development life cycle and demonstrate abilities to learn both the business processes as well as new and existing pl/sql - Basic knowledge of Oracle database architecture. Advanced database development experience (Oracle SQL/PLSQL). Knowledge of software development. Strong SQL development, SQL analytics and tuning skills. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude. Strong communications skills (both verbal & written). Location : Kochi (Work from Office). Experience : 5-8 years.
