Plex Engineer

Position: Plex Engineer, As400 Experience: 3 years to 7 years Location : Pune [Hybrid] Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled and proactive ERP Integration Engineer with experience in both Plex Manufacturing Cloud and IBM AS/400 (iSeries) environments. This hybrid role supports daily operations, manages integrations between legacy and cloud ERP systems, and contributes to ongoing modernization efforts. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, system integrations, and legacy application support. Key Responsibilities : Support, configure, and maintain the Plex Manufacturing Cloud ERP system . Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance AS/400-based legacy applications (RPG IV, CL, SQL). Develop and manage data integration workflows between Plex and AS/400 systems using APIs, flat files, or middleware. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand operational workflows and implement system improvements. Participate in ERP data migration, upgrades, and rollout projects. Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials. Ensure data accuracy and system synchronization between both platforms. Provide daily operational support for ERP systems, including user access, issue resolution, and system health monitoring. Assist in modernization efforts — refactoring or replacing legacy components to align with cloud systems. Required Qualifications : 4+ years of experience with AS/400 (IBM iSeries) , including development in RPG IV, RPG Free, CL, and SQL . 4+ years of experience with Plex Manufacturing Cloud or similar ERP platforms. Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and ERP business processes (shop floor, inventory, quality, etc.). Experience with data integration tools (e.g., REST APIs, XML, JSON, SFTP, or middleware like Dell Boomi or MuleSoft). Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
