Job Description

Role Overview

OMRON

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and troubleshoot
PLC and HMI programs
for industrial automation systems (OMRON & Siemens preferred).
Conduct
system integration, FAT/SAT testing
, and ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
Provide
technical support and troubleshooting
for existing control systems to minimize downtime.
Develop and maintain
system documentation
, including FDS, wiring diagrams, and user manuals.
Assist in
obsolescence studies
, identifying end-of-life components and recommending alternatives.
Collaborate with
cross-functional teams
during design, commissioning, and post-installation support.
Ensure all control systems adhere to
safety and quality standards
.

Technical Skills

Expertise in
PLC programming & HMI development
using:
OMRON:
Sysmac Studio, CX-Programmer, CX-Designer
Siemens:
TIA Portal, Step 7, WinCC
Familiar with
communication protocols
: Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU.
Knowledge of
VFDs, SCADA systems, sensors, and instrumentation
.
Understanding of
control panel design, wiring, and electrical schematics
.
Proficiency in
AutoCAD
,
Microsoft Office
, and version control systems.

Qualifications

B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma
in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Team-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling multiple projects.
Willingness to travel for commissioning and support activities.

Preferred Experience

57 years of hands-on experience in
industrial automation
(manufacturing, process, or machinery).
Proven expertise with
OMRON
and
Siemens
control platforms.
Experience in
control system upgrades
and
lifecycle management
.
