Job Description

JOB BRIEF This position requires the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision, exercising initiative and independent judgment in the performance of assigned tasks and assisting in the Product engineering- Product design, Weldment Structures frame, Sheet metal modelling and Jigs & Fixtures. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will also work in cooperation with the sales and marketing managers, as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Use Solidworks to generate 3D modelling and detailing of any Mechanical products Weldments, Sheet metals. Responsible Jig and Fixture design development. Responsible for product design and development with applicable codes & standards. Responsible for preparing GA drawing and Fabrication drawing with BOM. Attention to detail and commitment to quality a must in reviewing, checking and clash checking other designer’s work. Prepare material take-offs for cost estimates and material procurement during concept and basis of design phases. Work with domestic and international teams to develop and support products. Update engineering manager with regular reporting of progress and status. REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Aeronautical engineering with 7+ years of experience. Extensive experience with Solidworks is MUST. Hands on experience in 3D modelling of Weldments, Sheet metals is must. Knowledgeable in Autodesk Inventor. Exposure to international codes and standards. Strong attention to detail Works independently and with minimal supervision Experience from Design engineering firms, preferred. Excellent organizational and communication skills is must. Proficient in Microsoft Office software
