What You Will Do Responsible for building, developing, leading and managing the busbar engineering team & supporting global busbar growth. Should work hand-on on projects during initial set up period and as team grow, move towards people development and management role. Responsible for design and development of simple to complex categories of busbars e.g. Laminated, Powder coated, flexible etc. Add on, should build capability to handle more complex projects. Own expertise to support quick proto and production tooling as applicable and deliver busbar per customer requirement. Possess deep knowledge in busbar design, development, design review, DFMEA, manufacturing process, DFM, DFA, Tolerance analysis etc. Expertise in thermal management & structural evaluations and providing right solutions to customer needs. Apply customer centric development by having close interaction with customer / providing solutions i.e.Understand customer requirements, provide solutions towards their system level requirements, convert the system level requirements to component level and bring about quick turnaround components design/samples. Responsible for providing application engineering support i.e. Able to visit customers, evaluate systems/requirements and identify appropriate solutions. Responsible for developing talent, their knowledge and developing workflow process supporting requests coming across various geographies/plants. Responsible for program management i.e. driving the cross functional team and support faster execution. Along with this should establish project monitoring and reporting mechanism. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Graduate or Postgraduate in Mechanical Engineering Min. 10 years experience in designing and developing Bus bars. Min. 3 years of hands-on experience in managing the engineering team Hands on expertise in Busbar engineering and power distributions units for both product development and maintenance. Proven experience in people management and defining process. NX CAD, Team center and Polarion or equivalent. Deep knowledge in product design and development along with team management. Deep Knowledge/ work experience with proactive researching, analysis, testing theories, and showing principled entrepreneurship skills. Excellent presentation and communication skills. We are looking for a highly motivated and career oriented Mechanical Design Engineer who will have a good understanding of all design aspects and logics related to the design and manufacturing for SPM (Special Purpose Machines) and Automation and will create, draft, and design machine layouts using customer specification and recommendations according to a set Standard Operating Procedure. Roles and Responsibilities will include but not limited to Roles and Responsibilities Taking charge of Design projects independently. Understanding Customer requirements Design 3D Models and 2D Manufacturing Drawings with GD and T application in SolidEdge, Creo and AutoCad. Ability to draft parts in 2D and 3D layout. Good knowledge of mechanical calculations Good understanding of fixture design and manufacturing. Design the principles of robots structure, joint mechanisms, drives, bearings, housings, casings, etc. General knowledge about Motors, Drives, Sensors etc Good understanding of Pneumatics is must The job requires a highly capable and competent design person who can work independently and when required as part of a team to:. Work experience with a SPM manufacturing company is a preferred. Knowledge of Material Grades with their Mechanical Properties. Desired Candidate Profile Be either BE/BTech in Mechanical engineering. Diploma in mechanical engineering with suitable experience are encouraged to apply Experience : Minimum 3 Years - As a Design Engineer in Manufacturing / Special Purpose Machine/ Robotics Preferred, Expert In SolidEdge, Creo And/Or Similar CAD Software Key Skills : Complete knowledge of design engineering in detail.
