Platform Engineer

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure platforms that support software development and deployment across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows. - Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. - Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. - Monitor system performance and availability using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog. - Collaborate with development, DevOps, and SRE teams to support application deployment and stability. - For Mid to Senior-Level Engineers (4-10 years): - Architect and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient multi-cloud or hybrid cloud platforms. - Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term reliability planning. - Define and enforce platform engineering standards and best practices. - Mentor junior engineers and lead platform modernization or migration projects. - Evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies to improve operational efficiency. Qualifications Required: General: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, networking, and scripting (Bash, Python). - Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes. - Understanding of DevOps principles, automation, and platform reliability. For Junior Roles (1-3 years): - Hands-on experience with scripting and basic infrastructure setup. - Familiar with one CI/CD tool (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). - Exposure to cloud services, infrastructure monitoring, or log aggregation tools. For Mid to Senior Roles (4-10 years): - Proven experience in building production-grade platforms and deployment pipelines. - Deep knowledge of IaC, container orchestration, cloud security, and platform governance. - Experience integrating with observability stacks (logs, metrics, tracing). - Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
