Platform Engineer – Observability

Role Description

This is a full-time Platform Engineer – Observability role based in India with hybrid work options. The Platform Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining observability solutions to monitor and ensure the reliability of our platforms. Day-to-day tasks include designing, developing, and managing observability tools, creating monitoring dashboards, responding to incident alerts, and collaborating with development and operations teams to improve platform observability.

What You’ll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain observability platforms for log aggregation, metrics, and visualization.
• Manage ELK, NewRelic, and other telemetry platforms ensuring high availability and performance.
• Build data pipelines, custom filters, and dashboards aligned with business needs.
• Support Unix/Linux administration, scripting, and container environments.
• Troubleshoot observability issues and collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams.
• Document processes and contribute to system improvements and automation.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in observability platforms (ELK, NewRelic, Splunk, etc.).
• Strong AWS or cloud experience and Unix/Linux administration.
• Expertise in data ingestion, parsing, visualization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with container tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and scripting (Python, shell).
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

Good to Have

• Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• DevOps' practices, monitoring frameworks, and security integrations.
