The role is based on-site in a modern clinical and operative environment serving elective and emergency caseloads.Role: Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon (Primary title)We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon to join a multidisciplinary clinical team. The ideal candidate will manage a broad mix of cosmetic and reconstructive cases, lead perioperative planning, and maintain high standards of surgical safety and documentation.Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive outpatient assessments, create evidence-based surgical plans and obtain informed consent for aesthetic and reconstructive procedures.
- Perform a wide range of surgeries including flap and graft reconstructions, microsurgical free flaps, hand procedures, breast reconstruction, and common cosmetic operations (rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, abdominoplasty).
- Lead perioperative management—coordinate with anesthesia, nursing and physiotherapy teams to optimise patient outcomes and minimise complications.
- Provide postoperative care, monitor wound healing, manage complications, and conduct timely follow-ups and revisions as required.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, contribute to morbidity & mortality reviews, and follow clinical governance and infection-control protocols.
- Mentor junior surgeons/trainees, participate in case discussions, and support quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- MBBS with MCh (Plastic Surgery) or DNB (Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery) from a recognised institute.
- Valid Medical Council (NMC/MCI) registration to practise in India and relevant licensing documentation.
- Minimum 2–5 years of post-qualification surgical experience in plastic/reconstructive surgery with independent operating exposure.
- Proven competence in microsurgery, flap reconstruction and common cosmetic procedures; strong OT skills and aseptic technique.
- Excellent clinical judgement, patient communication skills and ability to manage multidisciplinary care pathways.
Preferred
- Fellowship or subspecialty training in microsurgery, craniofacial surgery, burns or aesthetic surgery.
- Experience in oncoplastic breast reconstruction, pediatric craniofacial procedures or high-volume cosmetic practice.
- Academic contributions (publications, presentations) and experience in teaching/mentorship.
