Plant Maintenance Engineer

Role Overview: As a Plant Maintenance Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery to identify potential issues and address them proactively. You will also be required to perform repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to resolve breakdowns and malfunctions promptly. Developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules and procedures to maximize equipment reliability and minimize unplanned downtime will be a key part of your role. Collaboration with the production team to plan maintenance activities and maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities will also be essential. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machinery - Perform repairs and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems - Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and procedures - Collaborate with the production team to plan maintenance activities - Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities - Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions - Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies in plant maintenance - Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for specialized repairs or maintenance tasks - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during maintenance activities - Train and mentor junior maintenance staff Qualifications Required: - Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, AC, DC - Proficiency in using various tools and equipment for troubleshooting and repair - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Knowledge of preventive maintenance principles and practices - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints - Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision - Effective communication skills - Time management and organizational skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols Additional Details: The plant is located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
