Plant Head - Stainless Steel

As the Plant Head at the stainless steel manufacturing facility, your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the plant. You will be expected to lead with a hands-on approach, utilizing your technical expertise and managerial skills to drive productivity, maintain efficiency, control costs, and uphold safety and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: - Lead daily operations of the Rolling Mill, support SMS, and maintenance units to ensure production targets, product quality, and delivery schedules are met. - Implement best practices to maximize plant efficiency and minimize downtimes. - Supervise preventive and breakdown maintenance of equipment and utilities, coordinating with maintenance teams for optimal equipment uptime. - Plan and manage CAPEX for new machinery or upgrades. - Lead manpower planning to ensure optimal workforce utilization, manage skill development, shift planning, and promote employee productivity. - Prepare and monitor plant budgets, identify areas for cost reduction, and drive cost-saving initiatives in raw material usage, energy, and maintenance. - Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance, implementing safety protocols and conducting regular audits and training. - Introduce continuous improvement methodologies and lead process optimization initiatives. - Submit regular reports on production, maintenance, manpower, and costs to top management and coordinate with other teams to align production with business demands. Qualifications Required: - In-depth technical knowledge of steel melting and hot rolling processes. - Experience in plant maintenance and utilities. - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Proficient in manpower planning, cost optimization, and budget management. - Working knowledge of ERP systems and production planning tools. - Strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance.
