Plant Head - MEE/RKI

Position Description

Position Purpose

Strategic Responsibilities

• Efficiently and cost effective operation of ETP/RO/MEE/RKI
• Formulate cost saving strategies for reducing waste disposal costs
• Implement new environmental initiatives in plant

Operational Responsibilities

• Assist Site Environment Head in fulfilment of Operational and legal requirements in the plant
• Operation and maintenance of ETP/RO/MEE/RKI
• Ensure optimum performance and output from the operations waste treatment plant
• Ensuring routine monitoring of stage-wise lead and lag indicators all unit operations of waste treatment facilities.
• Ensuring ETP outlet parameters within discharge norms
• Working in close coordination with other team members towards best results from waste treatment facilities
• Supervise the jobs related all equipment and monitor their performance for optimum and safe operations
• Communication with superiors and carry out field actions accordingly
• Maintaining proper housekeeping in the plant area
• Trouble shooting and increasing the performance of Waste treatment equipment
• Implementation of management systems related to HSE in the function
• Hazardous waste management to meet the compliance requirement
• Compliance to procedures and Work Instructions
• Monthly tracking of waste treatment cost and preparation of MIS
• Ensuring plant operation cost within approved budget
• Implement the cost saving initiatives in the areas of ETP/RO/MEE/RKI
• Implementation of all requirement related to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 in plant
• Ensuring timely receiving of waste/effluent from manufacturing blocks for smooth production without any downtime.

Financial Responsibilities

• Monthly tracking of waste treatment cost and preparation of MIS
• Ensuring plant operation cost within approved budget

• Ensure safety & high productivity at the workplace
• Facilitate initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & skill-upgradation initiatives for the team
• Actively drive, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the team
• Recognize & reward excellent performers & affirm key contributions of employees toward the achievement of goals & objectives of the team
