Planning Team Lead

Job Summary

• Lead a team of planners ensuring high quality and effective customer support activities including reviewing and resolving customer support issues, alerts, target stock level delta review, supply orders execution, etc
• Quality assurance and root cause resolution for repeat issues
• Team meetings, planner 1:1, leave management, annual reviews, employee development
• Enforce that the team uses and adheres to the escalation Tier process
• Responsible for new planner onboarding, including developing training plan, training and mentoring
• Ensure smooth customer support for new customers:
• Review the readiness of customer documentation
• Partner with planning / customer success team for new customer introduction for customer support readiness
• Work with the Planning Managers to address challenges and opportunities
• Identify and drive the efficiency improvement initiatives including processes, automation and team skillset
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and MBA in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
• Minimum 7 years of prior Supply Chain Management experience with 1 year of Prophet or similar Planning system experience
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities
• Capability to work independently and in cross-functional teams that are passionate about delivering value to customers
• Ability to perform challenging tasks under the pressure of an environment where results can have a large monetary impact to customers
• Strong initiative and competitive attitude to review processes and define better methods for supporting customers and optimizing supply chains
• Creative problem solving and technical skills including advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLookup, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree with MBA in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills to give the team direction
