Planning & Quality Control Incharge

The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and evaluating raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Conduct physical, chemical, and mechanical testing of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished steel products.
• Review specifications, blueprints, and production schedules to ensure products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
• Identify non-conformities and initiate corrective/preventive action plans (CAPA).
• Prepare and maintain quality reports, test records, and documentation.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, and R&D teams for quality improvement initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits (ISO, BIS, etc.).
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations related to quality control processes.
• Train production staff on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's (B- Tech) or Master’s (M – Tech) Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Min 4 years of experience in quality control & planning, preferably in metal industry.
• Strong understanding of steel grades, standards (ASTM, IS, EN), and testing methods.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OHSAS standards.
• Proficient in using MS Office and quality control software/tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
