Placement Officer

Job Summary: The Placement Officer will be responsible for creating, developing, and managing relationships with IT companies to facilitate successful job placements for students. This role requires strong industry networking skills, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate end-to-end placement activities to achieve placement targets. Key Responsibilities: 1. Industry Networking & Company Outreach Build and maintain strong relationships with IT companies, hiring managers, and HR professionals. Identify new placement opportunities by conducting market research and reaching out to potential recruiters. Schedule and coordinate campus drives, interviews, recruitment events, and job fairs. Represent the institute professionally during external meetings and networking events. 2. Placement Coordination Understand company hiring requirements and match suitable candidates accordingly. Coordinate interview schedules, joining, offer letters, and documentation. Maintain a database of employer contacts and job openings. Follow up with companies to track student interview status and feedback. 3. Student Support & Training Prepare students for placements through resume building, mock interviews, and soft skills sessions. Conduct orientation sessions on placement processes, job expectations, and industry trends. Guide students in choosing the right roles based on their training, skillset, and interests. Track student progress and readiness for placement. 4. Reporting & Documentation Maintain placement records, student profiles, and company interaction details. Prepare weekly/monthly placement reports for management review. Ensure accurate documentation of placed students, feedback, and offer letters. 5. Collaboration & Coordination Work closely with trainers, counsellors, and the operations team to ensure smooth placement activities. Provide market insights to management related to hiring patterns, in-demand skills, and salary trends.
