Role Description

Physical Education Teacher

The role includes delivering age-appropriate fitness programs, sports training, and movement-based activities while ensuring student safety and active participation. The teacher will also play an integral role in organizing sports events, maintaining sports equipment, and encouraging a culture of healthy living and teamwork within the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct structured

  Physical Education classes

  across grade levels.
• Design age-appropriate fitness routines, sports drills, and recreational activities.
• Ensure student safety and adherence to health and hygiene standards during sessions.
• Identify and nurture athletic talent while encouraging inclusive participation.
• Organize and support

  intra-school and inter-school sports events

  , annual sports days, and fitness initiatives.
• Maintain sports equipment, inventory, and playground discipline.
• Collaborate with teachers, coaches, and school leadership to integrate physical well-being into the school culture.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and participation when required.

Qualifications & Skills

• A

  Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.)

  or equivalent qualification is mandatory.
• Relevant

  teaching certification or diploma

  in education is preferred.
• Prior experience as a Physical Education teacher in a school setting is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of fitness training, sports fundamentals, and student safety protocols.
• Excellent classroom and field management skills.
• Energetic, disciplined, and approachable with a strong sense of responsibility.
• A passion for fitness, wellness, and nurturing a positive sports culture among students.
