PHP Tech Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of PHP developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Architect, design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and secure web applications using PHP and related technologies.
• Design, optimize, and manage database schemas (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Drive technical excellence, promoting best practices in coding, testing, code reviews, and software development methodologies (e.g., Agile/Scrum).
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of applications.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and tools.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from conception to deployment and maintenance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior and mid-level developers.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and recommending their adoption where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Must-Have: 9+ years of extensive professional experience in PHP development.
• Must-Have: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Must-Have: Proven experience (at least 2-3 years) in a Tech Lead, Team Lead, or Senior Developer role with leadership responsibilities.
• Must-Have: Deep expertise with at least one major PHP MVC framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, etc). Laravel is highly preferred.
• Must-Have: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Must-Have: Proficient in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks/libraries (e.g., jQuery, Vue.js).
• Must-Have: Solid experience with relational databases, particularly MySQL, including database design, optimization, and complex query writing.
• Must-Have: Experience with API development (RESTful APIs) and integration.
• Must-Have: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, VPC) is a major plus
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of web applications
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
