Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced PHP + Shopify Developer with strong backend development experience, particularly in Shopify’s Liquid templating language and custom Shopify app development. The ideal candidate will also have solid knowledge of Core PHP and be capable of managing full-stack development and third-party integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shopify Development: Customize Shopify themes and develop responsive, high-performance online stores using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• PHP Development: Work on PHP-based custom platforms and APIs to support e-commerce functionalities and data operations.
• Custom App Development: Build or modify Shopify apps to extend functionality.
• API Integration: Integrate third-party APIs (payment gateways, CRMs, ERP tools, marketing platforms, etc.) with Shopify and PHP applications.
• Bug Fixing & Optimization: Resolve performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot bugs, and optimize for scalability.
• Collaboration: Work closely with designers, marketers, and other developers to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Documentation: Maintain clean, well-documented code and technical documentation for handoffs and team collaboration.

Requirements:

• Experience: 4–6 years in web development, with at least 2+ years of experience in Shopify development.
• Languages & Tools: Proficient in PHP, Liquid (Shopify), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Shopify Ecosystem: Solid understanding of Shopify APIs, app integrations, and theme customization.
• Backend Development: Hands-on experience building and maintaining scalable PHP systems.
• Version Control: Experience with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Database: Strong knowledge of MySQL and relational databases.
• Optimization: Experience with speed optimization and responsive design best practices.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Laravel or WordPress backend.
• Familiarity with GSAP (GreenSock) for interactive animations.
• Knowledge of Meta (Facebook/Instagram) API integration.
• Experience with e-commerce analytics and tracking setup.
