Ph.D. Vacancy - Chemical Engineering

Chemical Engineering Department

Eligibility:

·      Applicants holding a M.Tech./M.E. degree or an equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, Safety/ Disaster Management, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, environmental engineering or any suitable branch of engineering, with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.0 or above from a recognized technical institute or university are eligible to apply. A valid GATE score is desirable but not mandatory.

·      Applicants holding a M.Sc. in Physics/Chemistry/mathematics/life sciences or biology/Polymer Technology/ Biotechnology/Environmental Science or any related discipline of science, with minimum 75% of marks or CGPA≥ 7.50 from a recognized technical institute or university are eligible to apply. CSIR-UGC NET-JRF is desirable but not mandatory.

·      Applicants with a B.Tech./B.E. (4-year) degree or an equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, environmental engineering or any suitable branch of engineering, with a minimum of 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA are also eligible to apply directly for PhD. A valid GATE score is desirable but not mandatory.

·      Applicants applying for part-time PhD must meet one of the above mentioned criteria. In addition to that, the applicant must be an active employee in a company/organization/institute and must submit NOC from their respective employer along with the application for considering it for shortlisting. 

·      Applicants waiting for their examination results to qualify degree are also eligible to apply. The final selection will be subjected to their qualifying exam result at the time of admission.
