Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers fits its purpose. Your duties will include analyzing software, systems, and conducting diagnostic tests to identify and rectify system anomalies. You will also be responsible for ensuring that testing protocols are adhered to and that all testing activities are documented. The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively with our software development team to identify any potential issues and ensure the highest quality product for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
  

Required Skills

• Test Design: The candidate must have a strong understanding of test methodologies and the ability to design detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Test Execution: The candidate should have experience in executing the test cases and should be able to identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
• MySQL: The candidate should have a good understanding of MySQL, including the ability to write and execute complex SQL queries.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
  

Preferred Skills

• Jenkins: Experience with Jenkins for continuous integration would be beneficial.
• Java: Knowledge of Java programming language would be an added advantage.
• Jira: Familiarity with Jira for bug tracking and project management would be useful.
• REST API's: Understanding of REST API's and experience in testing them would be beneficial.
• Selenium: Experience with Selenium for automated testing would be a plus.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies would be beneficial.
• Python: Knowledge of Python programming language would be an added advantage.
• Performance Testing: Experience in performance testing would be a plus.
• Security Testing: Knowledge of security testing would be beneficial.
• Mobile Testing: Experience in mobile application testing would be an added advantage.
