PCB Designer (Contract Basis)

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented PCB Designer to support our R&D electronics team in an ongoing embedded systems project. The role involves designing a custom ESP32-based UWB hardware board (Tag and Anchor), focusing on antenna redesign, PCB optimization, and manufacturing documentation.
This is a full-time onsite role based in Thiruvananthapuram, offering the opportunity to work closely with our engineering team on advanced IoT and embedded hardware solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in RF and high-speed PCB design and the ability to deliver production-ready hardware.
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:
Design and develop multi-layer PCBs using tools such as Altium, KiCad, or Eagle.
Redesign and optimize antenna structures for improved range and signal performance.
Collaborate closely with hardware and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration.
Prepare all manufacturing deliverables, including Gerber, BOM, and Pick & Place files.
Perform DFM checks, signal integrity analysis, and ensure EMI/EMC compliance.
Coordinate with PCB fabricators and assembly vendors for prototype production.
Strong understanding of RF circuit design, high-frequency routing, and power management.
Familiarity with ESP32 and UWB transceivers (Decawave DW1000/DW3000 preferred).
(Preferred) Contribute to enclosure design for product integration (mechanical fit and alignment).
Excellent collaboration and debugging skills during hardware validation.
Knowledge of antenna simulation tools (CST, HFSS, ADS, etc.).
Experience in IoT hardware or wireless communication module design.
Understanding of embedded firmware for hardware testing and validation.
