Payroll Specialist

Ticketing Tool Management:

• Use ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow) to log, track, and resolve payroll-related queries and issues.
• Provide timely responses and resolutions to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
• Maintain a high level of customer service and ensure SLA adherence for ticket resolution.

Payroll Processing:

• Assist with end-to-end US and Canadian payroll processing for employees across multiple states and provinces.
• Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Process payroll adjustments, including retroactive payments, garnishments, and reimbursements in Workday.

Compliance & Taxation:

• Stay updated with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and ensure compliance.
• Assist with multi-state payroll tax filings, including W-2s, 1099s, and other statutory requirements.
• Resolve payroll tax issues and discrepancies in a timely manner
• Perform activities in support of Payroll SOX & SOC controls.

Reporting and Audits:

• Generate payroll reports for management, accounting, and auditing purposes.
• Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll processes.

System and Process Improvement:

• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to streamline payroll processes and systems.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Provide training and support to team members on payroll systems and tools.
