- Role Summary:
We are seeking a candidate with extensive functional knowledge of domestic and international fund transfers to join our finance team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with variety of payment methods, including SWIFT, SEPA, and Wire transfers. A strong understanding of global banking operations, compliance standards, and cross-border transaction processing is essential to success in this role. JD: Key Responsibilities Verify payment approvals and ensure adherence to SOX and internal controls Review out of cycle payment requests and verify the creation of a liability in the ERP system before the payment is executed Input of payment transfers in local currencies, using various payment methods onto the banking portal. Submitting and communicating payments for approval with the relevant stakeholders and verify the payment has been executed. Possess knowledge of various payment types, including SWIFT, SEPA, and Wire Ensure the bank file is updated with the correct General Ledger accounts. Regularly reconcile bank statements with recorded transactions. Upload the XML files into HSBC.net or appropriate banking portals. Review returned/rejected payments and re-enter as required. Engage with stakeholders to address inquiries regarding payment requests. Coordinate with the bank and local finance to resolve any issues related to on hold payments. Prepare various ad hoc reports based on requests from different departments. Ensure adherence to company policies, SOX compliance, and regulatory requirements Engage with auditors during SOX, internal, and external statutory audits. Adhere to timelines and service level agreements (SLAs). Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills Good understanding of banking procedures and financial controls Strong communication and interpretation skills Contribution to continuous process improvements Ability to work well in a team and learn quickly Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Well-organized and able to meet tight deadlines Ability to prioritize work and multi-task effectively Experience with PeopleSoft or other major ERP is an added advantage #US SHIFT - Night SHIFT #UK SHIFT - Hybrid
