Job Title: Pastry Chef

Location: Andheri west
Department: Bakery / Kitchen Operations
Reports to: Head Chef / Kitchen Manager / Owner
Job Type: Full-time
Experience Required: 2–5 years (Mid to Senior Level)

Job Summary:

The Pastry Chef is responsible for creating a wide variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods, ensuring quality, creativity, and consistency. This role demands strong technical skills in baking, attention to presentation, and the ability to develop innovative sweet offerings that align with the brand’s identity.

Key Responsibilities: Production & Creation:

  • Prepare and bake desserts like cakes, pastries, mousses, tarts, macarons, brownies, and plated desserts
  • Innovate new dessert items for seasonal menus, festivals, or brand campaigns
  • Decorate and present desserts with attention to detail and aesthetics
  • Follow standard recipes and ensure consistent portion size and quality

Planning & Inventory:

  • Plan production schedules based on daily requirements and events
  • Maintain ingredient inventory and coordinate with procurement for restocking
  • Track raw material usage and help minimize wastage and food cost
  • Ensure all desserts are made fresh and within shelf life standard
  • Hygiene & Quality Control:
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per FSSAI/HACCP norms
  • Ensure proper storage and labeling of ingredients and finished goods
  • Calibrate ovens and equipment and ensure regular maintenance
  • Conduct regular quality checks for taste, texture, and visual appeal

Team Leadership (if applicable):

  • Supervise and train junior pastry cooks or assistants
  • Delegate tasks and monitor workflow during busy hours
  • Maintain coordination with front-of-house for order execution and plating

Skills Required:

  • Expertise in pastry techniques, sugar work, chocolate tempering, and baking
  • Artistic presentation and plating skills
  • Strong time management and multitasking under pressure
  • Understanding of allergens, dietary options (eggless, vegan, gluten-free)
  • Familiarity with commercial baking equipment and tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
