About This Role

We're looking for a passionate Pastry Chef who appreciates tradition keeping in mind our heritage and routes. As part of a growing startup, you’ll have the opportunity to produce dessert offerings from the ground up and shape a unique culinary identity that complements Benne’s heritage Bangalore experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute a limited dessert menu that aligns with Benne’s ethos—rooted in tradition, crafted with creativity.
• Prepare a variety of Indian desserts with a little bit of creativity applying halwai skills as well as pastry while maintaining consistent quality and scale.
• Ensure high standards of hygiene, kitchen organization, and food safety (FSSAI compliance).
• Manage daily production and inventory.
• Train and guide junior staff and contribute to building kitchen processes for a fast-growing startup.
• Collaborate with the culinary and operations teams for menu launches, events and brand initiatives.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Bakery & Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality.
• 1–2 years of experience in pastry roles (restaurant, bakery, hotel, or café).
• Strong foundation in pastry techniques with a flair for creative, culturally inspired desserts.
• Ice cream experience is a bonus. 
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with a hands-on approach.
• Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and an eye for presentation.
• Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
• A calm, people-first approach and genuine love for hospitality 💛

Compensation

Negotiable, based on experience.
