We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Parts Manager to oversee the inventory and distribution of parts within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring timely availability of parts for service and repair jobs, and delivering excellent customer service. The Parts Manager will also be in charge of pricing, purchasing, and managing department personnel to optimize operations and profitability. Key Responsibilities: 1. Inventory Management: o Forecast parts demand and maintain optimal inventory levels. o Monitor and update the parts inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking. o Ensure proper labeling, storage, and organization of parts. 2. Procurement & Ordering: o Order parts as needed while considering pricing, availability, and demand. o Oversee special orders and ensure timely arrival of required components. o Develop relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure quality products. 3. Customer Service & Sales: o Assist customers in identifying and purchasing the correct parts. o Provide expert guidance and recommendations on parts compatibility and usage. o Ensure customer satisfaction by handling inquiries, issues, and returns efficiently. 4. Collaboration & Coordination: o Work closely with service managers and technicians to ensure necessary parts are available for repair jobs. o Communicate effectively with the sales team regarding part availability and pricing. 5. Pricing & Profitability: o Develop competitive pricing strategies to balance profitability and customer satisfaction. o Monitor market trends and adjust pricing accordingly. Qualifications & Skills: · Proven experience as a Parts Manager or in a related role within automotive, industrial, or mechanical industries. · Strong knowledge of inventory management and procurement processes. · Excellent customer service and sales skills. · Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. · Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. · Leadership and team management experience. · Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Education & Experience: · High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in business management, logistics, or a related field is a plus. · Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in parts management or a related field. Work Environment: · Office and warehouse setting with occasional customer interactions. · Some lifting and handling of parts may be required.
