US Division – Head / Manager Role Summary: The Head of Sales – US Division is responsible for driving revenue through paid counselling services for students aspiring to study in the USA. This role requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in US higher education and a proven track record of managing high-performance counselling teams. The ideal candidate will lead the sales strategy, ensure conversion efficiency, and optimize team performance to grow Study Smart’s US division revenue and market share. Key Responsibilities: 1. Revenue Generation & Sales Strategy Drive revenue through paid counselling services and university application support for US-bound students. Create and execute a strategic sales roadmap to scale the US vertical. Personally contribute to revenue targets by handling key student enquiries, closing high-value cases, and setting a benchmark for the team. Define targets and performance plans for the counselling team with clear revenue goals. 2. Team Leadership & Performance Management Manage a team of US counsellors, ensuring alignment with business targets. Conduct weekly reviews to monitor application and conversion performance. Mentor team members to improve sales techniques, counselling quality, and objection handling. Foster a culture of accountability, motivation, and consistent high performance. 3. Counselling & Conversion Support Actively engage in student counselling from scratch, especially for complex or high-potential cases. Provide hands-on conversion support to counsellors at every stage—from enquiry to enrolment—to maximise team conversions and overall revenue. Lead by example to uplift counselling quality and sales effectiveness. 4. US Market Expertise & Counsellor Support Ensure the team is well-trained on US admission requirements, visa processes, test prep, and scholarship opportunities. Stay updated on trends in US education and translate them into actionable sales strategies. Provide on-ground support for complex counselling cases or high-value clients. 5. Funnel & CRM Management Oversee lead-to-payment funnel through CRM; track and optimize every stage. Ensure data hygiene, timely follow-ups, and accurate revenue tracking. Identify drop-off points in the sales funnel and implement corrective measures. 6. Student Experience & Feedback Regularly review student feedback and implement quality improvements. Monitor service delivery quality to ensure a high client satisfaction rate. 7. Hiring, Training & Growth Planning Participate in hiring of US counsellors with strong sales and counselling aptitude. Plan onboarding, refresher training, and knowledge upgrades for the US team. Work with the senior management on team expansion plans based on market demand. 8. Cross-Functional Collaboration Ensure daily coordination between counsellors, admission associates, and the application team. Coordinate with marketing for targeted lead generation and campaign effectiveness. Align with admissions and visa teams to ensure seamless client journeys. Provide feedback to product/training teams for counselling toolkits and resources. Key Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 4–7 years of experience in managing US student recruitment and paid counselling services. Minimum 1-2 years of Leadership experience Strong knowledge of US education system, visa processes, and student decision journey. Proven ability to lead, coach, and scale a sales-focused counselling team. Excellent sales, communication, and leadership skills. Proficient in CRM tools and data-driven decision-making. Highly organized, self-motivated, and target-oriented. Ability to inspire teams, enforce accountability, and deliver high-impact results.
