Position Summary

The Room Service Order Taker is responsible for professionally handling all in‑room dining requests, ensuring accurate order entry, effective coordination with kitchen and service teams, and delivering a seamless guest experience in line with hotel service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling guest calls and taking accurate food & beverage orders while maintaining a courteous and professional tone
  • Entering orders into the POS system and ensuring clear communication with kitchen and service teams
  • Providing menu knowledge and upselling recommendations to enhance guest satisfaction
  • Monitoring order preparation and delivery timelines to ensure prompt service
  • Addressing guest queries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency
  • Maintaining order logs, checklists, and departmental records as per hotel standards
  • Coordinating with other departments to support smooth in‑room dining operations
  • Ensuring adherence to hygiene, safety, and service protocols at all times
