Roles and Responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Integration Design and Development

  • Design and develop integration solutions using

    Oracle SOA Suite, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), BPEL, Mediator, BPM, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC)

    .
  • Implement EDI integrations between Oracle applications and external trading partners using standards like

    X12, EDIFACT, and XML

    .
  • Develop and maintain

    web services (SOAP/REST)

    and adapters (JDBC, File, JMS, FTP, AQ, etc.).
  • Handle

    end-to-end integration

    — from source to target systems, including mapping, transformation, and orchestration.

2. EDI Implementation & Support

  • Configure and manage

    Oracle EDI Gateway

    ,

    Oracle B2B

    , or equivalent EDI platforms.
  • Create and maintain

    partner profiles

    ,

    trading partner agreements

    , and

    document definitions

    .
  • Troubleshoot EDI message errors and ensure

    acknowledgment processing (997, 999, etc.)

    .
  • Work with business teams and trading partners for onboarding and compliance with EDI standards.

3. Middleware Administration & Performance

  • Deploy, monitor, and tune SOA/OSB composites and services in

    WebLogic Server

    environments.
  • Ensure

    high availability, scalability, and performance optimization

    of middleware components.
  • Maintain version control using

    Git, SVN, or similar tools

    , and handle build/deployment automation via

    Jenkins or CI/CD pipelines

    .

4. Support & Maintenance

  • Provide

    L2/L3 support

    for production integration issues.
  • Perform

    root cause analysis

    , implement fixes, and update documentation.
  • Participate in

    on-call support rotations

    for critical integration workflows.

5. Collaboration and Documentation

  • Collaborate with

    Oracle ERP (E-Business Suite, Fusion Applications, or Cloud)

    and external system teams for integration solutions.
  • Create and maintain

    technical design documents

    , mappings, and deployment guides.
  • Participate in

    code reviews, performance testing, and QA validation

    processes.

6. Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain

    security policies

    for data transmission (SSL, encryption, digital certificates).
  • Ensure compliance with

    industry standards (HIPAA, SOX, GDPR)

    where applicable.
  • Manage

    access control

    and

    audit trails

    for integration components.
