Operations Manager/Plant Manager

We are looking for a result-driven and experienced Operations Manager / Plant Head to oversee Production, Stores, Dispatch, Operational Excellence (OPEX), and Compliances. The role involves ensuring smooth plant operations, meeting production and dispatch targets, maintaining compliance, and driving continuous improvements in efficiency and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Management

• Plan and execute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules.
• Ensure product quality standards and minimize downtime.
• Optimize utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.

2. Stores & Inventory

• Manage stores operations with proper inventory control.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO practices and ensure stock accuracy.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and spares.

3. Dispatch & Logistics

• Plan and monitor dispatch schedules to ensure OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery.
• Coordinate with logistics partners for cost-efficient and timely shipments.
• Maintain complete documentation and customer compliance requirements.

4. Operational Excellence (OPEX)

• Lead initiatives in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and cost reduction.
• Track KPIs such as OEE, efficiency, wastage, and rejection rates.
• Continuously improve processes to enhance productivity.

5. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure statutory compliance with Factories Act, Labour Laws, Pollution Control Board, EHS standards, and Pharma-specific GMP requirements.
• Maintain all licenses, records, and audit compliances (ISO, GMP, statutory, customer).
• Promote a zero-incident safety culture and train teams on compliance.

6. Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor plant teams across production, stores, and dispatch.
• Build accountability, discipline, and teamwork within the workforce.
• Conduct training and capability-building programs for staff.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of production, inventory, dispatch, and plant operations.
• In-depth understanding of compliance requirements in manufacturing / pharma (GMP, EHS, audits).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Team Handling.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Operations / Supply Chain (MBA preferred).
• 8–10 years of experience in plant operations, with minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
• Industry background: Pharma, Chemical, FMCG, Engineering, or Manufacturing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per month
