Description
As an Operations Manager at Burns & McDonnell India in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) industry, your role will involve managerial direction and leadership of the T&D Global Practice. You will work closely with the T&D BMcD India Vice President and Bengaluru Regional Office Manager to support and execute business strategy, deliver quality projects, develop high-performance teams, coach leadership, and uphold the company's culture, values, and mission. Your primary focus will be to drive the team dynamically and profitably based on core values such as safety, client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, and outstanding service. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage the development and execution of BMI T&D operations strategies and goals. - Promote, maintain, and advance internal relationships. - Manage initiatives for growth, revenue, and business plan goals for the BMI T&D offices. - Support offices in achieving financial performance and growth targets. - Provide leadership, development, and guidance to the BMI T&D offices. - Review, implement, and attain T&D business plans across regional and global offices. - Liaise between BMI T&D offices, corporate initiatives, and global T&D offices. - Facilitate and manage distribution of tools and resources across regional offices. - Promote internal relationships and establish guidelines for conducting business. - Assist in establishing BMI's position in Burns & McDonnell's Global T&D business through strategic planning and development. - Prepare and implement market development plans, including strategies for events, presentations, and relationship building. - Assist in recruiting, hiring, developing, and retaining outstanding employee-owners. - Organize and conduct performance appraisals for employees. - Interpret organization's policies, purposes, and goals. - Adhere to and be responsible for Burns & McDonnell Quality Control program. - Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with safety policies. - Support diversity initiatives. - Perform other assigned duties while complying with policies and standards. **Qualifications & Skills:** - Bachelor's (or Master's) degree in any Engineering discipline from a recognized university. - 14 years of total experience in engineering or consulting organization, preferably in the Transmission & Distribution Industry. - Prior experience in client and business development, project management, and team coordination. - Expertise in budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination. - Strong facilitation, organization, and problem-solving skills. - Demonstrated success in budget and profit margins. - Ability to influence, lead, and manage effectively. - Excellent planning, analytical, oral and written communication skills. - Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools. - Hands-on experience in leading large teams and adapting to changes. - Readiness to travel domestically and internationally.
